Candidates continue to struggle with campaign music clearances

KHIKS founding/managing partner Larry Iser was again quoted in the media, this time The Hollywood Reporter, about one of his specialties:  protecting the copyrights of songwriters from unauthorized use by political candidates.

Larry talks about how some candidates mistakenly believe that the First Amendment protects political speech to such an extent that they can use most any song they choose in their campaigns without the permission of the copyright holder.

See Larry’s comments in the fourth, next-to-last and last paragraphs of the article.
